Hello it’s me, your beauty bestie

My name is Autumn, I’m the CEO of Sunday Beauty. I’m a young female who has big dreams of owning my own beauty empire. As a child I always had a passion for all things beauty, I was dressing myself in matching outfits (or refusing to wear anything besides a dress), specially picking 20 hair clips, and experimenting with makeup. I invite you to get to know me!

What I Do

I am the Jill of all trades in this business. I provide the services. The visionary behind all of the new ideas. I create the products. Tracking all of the business progress. Creating and posting the content. I educate my clients. And I’m just getting started!

Why

The decision to start this business was because I want to share what I love to do with the world. My passion is all things beauty. I’m both a client and a provider of my services. By trying so many beauty services and products I have narrowed down the best practices and I want to share my advice with you. My favourite part is when my client’s confidence goes up because of my product or services.

All About Me

I’d like to share a bit about me so you can get to know me on a deeper level. My biggest hero is my mom. She is a single mom to my brothers and I. She is a strong and incredibly hardworking female. Her energy inspires me to become better. Growing up I always had what I needed both emotionally and physically. She taught me right from wrong. My hope is to one day give my children the same experience. It’s important to have a stable person in your life that you know you can count on always.

When I attended York University I studied people. To me, the study of people will always be a benefit as we are constantly surrounded by them. At 17, I was discouraged from pursuing beauty and I didn’t know what I wanted to do. I was a leader with a strong mindset and great work ethic. I WANTED TO BE THE BOSS. Throughout my university experience I developed as a person and got clear on my goals. I completed what some accomplish in 12 years in 4. Travelling to Quebec and France to study my favourite language, French. I met my best friends and had wild experiences. Living in the largest room on the party floor in residence first year, always supplying the alcohol and initiating party games, and sharing a co-ed washroom with 40 other students (ew). By my final year I was living with my friends in a huge mansion, got my first car, working, meal prepping and fostering dogs. I achieved a bilingual B.A of Psychology, a bilingual B.A. of Sociology, a Certificate of Law and Social Thought, and a Certificate of Bilingualism. Now is a great time to get to know me further.

My Moment. 

The moment I knew I wanted to run my own business was the first day my life changed completely. Wait for the click… I was working a 9-5 job, working my butt off with no fulfillment, burnt out, with a topic I wasn’t passionate about, in a place I didn’t like, adjacent to individuals with no drive, no inspiration or motivation, and nothing to look forward to. Working for the pay check and living for the weekend. I had a performance review in which I realized I hit the glass ceiling in this company. There is nowhere upwards for me to go. I achieved it, a master in my field. I trained others but no one trained me no matter how much I asked. I couldn’t think of anyone in my life who I aspired to be like. If I work this hard for someone else’s dream why not mine. Why not build something I love? Click. Change your surroundings. All in.

Training

About 7 years ago I officially began my beauty business journey. I signed up for a fully comprehensive eyelash course a few hours away. I am trained in lift & tint, classic, hybrid, volume, and max volume eyelash extension services. Next I signed up for a hair extension course, trained in hand-tied, fusion, I-tip, tape-in and nano hair extension services. I am currently signed up for spray tan training, I will be trained all the way up to the master level including contouring and POC client expertise. If you really want to get to know me, I AM CONSTANTLY TRAINING MY SKILLS AND MINDSET. Joining a women’s business hub, business book club, signing up for various business training classes, attending conferences, working with mentors, and listening to podcasts to ensure I have the best business and I’m the best person I can be. I’m a 100% all in type of person, trained to the fullest extent. I am a knowledge leader in my community.

Eyelash Extensions

One of the services offered at Sunday Beauty is eyelashes. A lift & tint is when a perm solution and eyelash dye is applied to your natural lashes giving you a lifted and bolder natural effect. With a set of classic eyelash extensions one eyelash is applied to each of your natural lashes to add length. The hybrid set is a mix of classic and volume lashes applied to your natural eyelashes. Volume eyelash extensions are clusters of eyelashes applied to your natural lashes to make them appear more full. The max volume set delivers the most lashes applied to your natural eyelashes. Hair Extensions

We also offer hair extensions at Sunday Beauty. Hair extensions can add both volume and/or length to your natural hair, they come in a large variety of colours and attachment methods. Hand-tied hair extensions are long wefts of hair sewn into your natural hair, giving the most seamless and beautiful looking result. Nano hair extensions are micro beads attached to your hair, this way the beads are hidden. I-tip hair extensions are larger beads attached to your natural hair making the hair more moveable. Fusion hair extensions are small bunches of hair glued into your hair so you can’t even tell they are there. Tape in hair extensions are small wefts of hair glued into the natural hair for a gorgeous look. The hair is chosen by your stylist based on your desired look and the qualities of your natural hair. All hair is 100% human hair that can be dyed, cut and heat styled. Hair extensions are for those with hair growth or volume issues, everyday wear, weddings, holidays, birthdays, vacation, or any special event.

Products

Sunday Beauty additionally offers products for our clients. A mix of our own developed products and partnerships with great beauty brands. Our own line of lash shampoos including sensitive, scented and luxury. We offer the tools in order to properly cleanse your eyelash extensions at home such as a cleansing brush and lint-free cloth. Furthermore, we sell eyelash extension safe eyeliner and eye serum. There is also custom lounge sets for clients to relax and leave their beauty service appointment in, including long sleeve, tshirt and racer back styles. What's Next

Next in my business journey will be to develop courses to share my beauty expertise with my community and those looking to enter our community. It will help individuals such as lash techs, hair extension specialists, spray tan artists, mindset seekers, and any beauty professionals looking for advice and inspiration. I want to provide you with a head start in your journey and skip the mistakes I have made. Hopefully when you get to know me I’ll provide value to your life as you provide value to mine. I have studied many aspects of developing a beauty business and I can’t wait to share it with the WORLD.
