Lift and Tint

Hi beauty bestie!

I’d like to share with you all things lift & tint…

What is it?

An eyelash lift and tint has become increasingly popular in recent years because they offer a low-maintenance alternative to traditional lash extensions or the traitorous mascara. Eyelash lift, also known as a lash perm, is a treatment that lifts your natural lashes from the root to give them a subtle CURL that lasts for several weeks. On the other hand, eyelash tint is a semi-permanent dye that enhances the natural colour of your lashes, making them appear darker and fuller without the need for mascara.

Who is it for?

An eyelash lift and tint is a cosmetic procedure that is suitable for individuals who want to enhance the look of their natural eyelashes. It is an ideal choice for those with straight or downward-facing lashes who want to make their lashes look longer and more voluminous. The procedure is also suitable for those with light-coloured lashes who want to add more definition to their eyes without having to apply mascara every day. Moreover, an eyelash lift and tint can be a great option for those with an active lifestyle, as it eliminates the need for daily makeup application and touch-ups. It is also an excellent choice for those who have sensitive eyes or are allergic to mascara or lash extensions. However, as with any cosmetic procedure, it is essential to consult with a licensed professional to determine if an eyelash lift and tint is right for you.

Lift those lashes!

Appointment

One of the reasons for the popularity of eyelash lift and tint is that they are relatively quick and easy procedures that require minimal downtime. Unlike lash extensions, which can take up to two to three hours to apply and require regular maintenance, an eyelash lift and tint treatment can be completed in under an hour. This makes it a convenient option for those with busy schedules or who prefer a low-maintenance beauty routine.

Natural Alternative

Eyelash lift and tint treatments are a great alternative for those with sensitive eyes or allergies to lash extension glue. They are also a more natural-looking option compared to lash extensions, as they enhance your natural lashes rather than adding false lashes. In the end, eyelash lift and tint have become popular because they offer a simple, low-maintenance way to enhance the appearance of your lashes and achieve a beautiful, natural look.

Goodbye mascara, hello lash lifts!

How long does it last?

The length of time that a lift and tint lasts can vary depending on a few factors, such as the natural growth cycle of your lashes, how well you take care of them, and the specific products used during the treatment. Typically, a lift and tint lasts about 6 weeks. However, it’s important to note that your individual results may vary. Some people may find that their lift and tint lasts longer or shorter than this range, depending on their unique circumstances. A lift and tint can be a great way to enhance the natural beauty of your lashes and give them a BOOST of darkness and length. If you’re interested in trying this treatment for yourself, be sure to consult with a qualified beauty professional to learn more about the process and what you can expect from the results.

Before Care

An eyelash lift and tint can help enhance the beauty of your eyes by lifting and tinting your lashes, making them look longer, darker, and more voluminous. However, it is important to take proper care of your lashes before and after the treatment to ensure that they remain healthy and beautiful. Here are some tips for before care:

  1. 1. Avoid using any oil-based products on your lashes for at least 24 hours before the treatment. This includes makeup, moisturizers, and eye creams. Oil can interfere with the lift and tint process and make it less effective.
  2. 2. Do not curl your lashes before the treatment. This can interfere with the lift and may cause damage to your lashes.
  3. 3. Remove any contact lenses before the treatment. It is best to wear glasses instead.
  4. 4. Arrive at your appointment with clean, makeup-free lashes. This will ensure that the lift and tint process is as effective as possible.
  5. 5. If you have any allergies or sensitivities, inform your technician before the treatment.

By following these simple tips, you can ensure that your eyelash lift and tint treatment is successful and your lashes look their best.

After Care

If you have recently undergone a lash lift and tint treatment, there are a few aftercare tips you should follow to maintain the longevity and health of your lashes. Here are some aftercare tips for lift and tint eyelashes. Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24-48 hours after treatment. This includes avoiding steam, saunas, swimming, and hot showers. Do not wear eye makeup for at least 24 hours after the treatment. This includes mascara, eyeliner, and eyeshadow. Be gentlewhen cleansing your face, and avoid rubbing or pulling on your lashes. Use a gentle cleanser and pat your face dry with a soft towel. Avoid using oil-based products on your eyes and lashes, as they can weaken the lift and tint. Opt for oil-free eye makeup remover and skincare products. To maintain the lift and curl of your lashes, use a lash brush to comb them upwards every morning. Consider getting a touch-up treatment every 6-8 weeks, depending on the growth cycle of your lashes. By following these aftercare tips, you can enjoy beautifully lifted and tinted lashes for weeks to come!

Steps

An eyelash lift and tint is a great way to enhance the natural beauty of your eyes. Here are the steps to get an eyelash lift and tint:

Clean Eye Area

The technician will clean your eyelashes to remove any makeup, dirt, or oil from the eye area. This is important because if there is any debris or residue on the skin, it can INTERFERE with the lift and tint process, leading to suboptimal results. Also, cleaning the eye area helps to prevent any potential infections. This is because the eye area is particularly sensitive and prone to infection, so it is important to ensure that the area is clean and free of any bacteria or other harmful substances. By taking the time to properly prepare the skin, you can ensure that the process goes smoothly and that you achieve the best possible results. They will also cover your lower eyelashes with a protective pad.

Silicone Shield

The technician will apply a silicone shield to your upper eyelid. This will help to lift your eyelashes and give them a more curled appearance. A silicone shield is an essential tool used during a lash lift procedure to help create a beautiful, long-lasting curl to your lashes. The shield is placed on your eyelids, acting as a mold for your lashes to curl around, giving them a curved shape. The silicone shield holds the lashes in place, preventing them from sticking together and ensuring that each lash is curled evenly. Applying the silicone shield is a crucial part of the lash lift and tint process because it helps to protect your skin and eyes from the chemicals used during the procedure. The shield also helps to minimize the risk of the chemicals getting into your eyes, which can cause irritation or even damage.

Lifting Solution

The technician will then apply lifting solutions to your eyelashes. This solution will be left on for a few minutes to allow it to work its magic. The solution is typically made up of specialized chemicals that are designed to curl and lift the lashes, making them more visible and attractive. This is done by breaking down the disulphide bonds in the keratin of the lashes, allowing them to be reshaped into a new position. The lifting solution is generally left on the lashes for a short period of time before being removed, and the results can last for several weeks. It is important to note that a lift and tint eyelash procedure should only be performed by a trained and experienced professional to ensure that it is done safely and effectively.

Tint

After the lifting solutions have been removed, the technician will apply a tint to your eyelashes. The tint will be left on for a few minutes to give your lashes a DARKER colour. The solution is made up of a combination of dyes and chemicals that are safe to use around the delicate eye area. The solution is applied to the lashes with a small brush and left on for a few minutes, depending on the desired level of color intensity. After the solution has been allowed to develop, it is removed with a damp cotton pad, leaving the lashes looking darker and more defined. It is important to note that an eyelash lift and tint should only be performed by a trained professional to ensure safety and optimal results.

Clean Up

Finally, the technician will remove the silicone shield or rod and clean up any excess tint or solution. Technicians must clean up the solution and dye after a lift and tint procedure for several reasons. Firstly, leaving the solution and dye on the skin for an extended period of time can cause irritation and discomfort. Also, it is important to remove any excess productto ensure that the final result is even and natural-looking. Finally, removing the solution and dye is essential for maintaining the health of the client’s skin and eyelash hair. Leaving residual chemicals on the skin can cause dryness, itching, and even chemical burns. By properly cleaning up after a lift and tint procedure, technicians can ensure that their clients are comfortable, happy with the results, and free from any unnecessary skin or hair damage.

And that’s it! You will be left with beautifully lifted and tinted eyelashes that will last for several weeks.

My Experience

My experience with eyelash lift and tint ranges over several years. This was one of the first beauty services I trained to perform. I wanted an alternative to applying, wearing, and removing mascara everyday. For me having blonde eyelashes I was very self-conscience growing up, I never left the house without mascara. But, each night I would have the painful task of scrubbing off my waterproof mascara along with half my eye. I also hated swimming because the mascara would wash off and I would be cleaning my eyes and reapplying instead of spending time with my friends and family. I began practicing on my mom and today she still gets a lift and tint done every 6 weeks. Over the years I have tried different products and found out what works best through trial an error. I have done this on young girls as a natural enhancement as well as on cute old ladies to give them a youthful look. Today it is one of my favourite procedures!

If you want to schedule a lift and tint, book a consultation with me!
