Having healthy habits in your daily life is important to maintain your mind and body so you can lead your best life.
These are my healthy habits…
My favourite healthy habit is hitting the gym. Going to the gym can be great for self-care because it helps release ENDORPHINS, reduces stress, improves sleep, increases energy levels, and promotes overall physical and mental well-being. Regular exercise has always been a tool I use to improve my mood. Lifting weights is beneficial because it helps to build and strengthen muscles, increase bone density, improve overall physical performance, and boost metabolism. Cardio is an effective form of self-care because it can improve cardiovascular health, reduce stress, boost mood, increase energy levels, and promote better sleep. Additionally, regular cardio exercise and weight lifting can help prevent chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes. For me, going to the gym is both for my physical and mental well being. I love to put on my matching workout set, sweat and block out the world while listening to music or a podcast.
The hardest part is getting there!
Eating healthy is good for self-care because it provides your body with the necessary nutrients to function properly, boosts your immune system, and can improve your overall physical and mental well-being. A balanced diet can also reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and certain cancers. Naturally, I love eating fruits and vegetables so eating healthy has come easily to me. Fruits and vegetables are beneficial because they are rich in vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants which help to boost the immune system, maintain healthy body weight, reduce the risk of chronic diseases, and provide essential nutrients for overall health and well-being. I don't like meat very much so I usually supplement with protein powders or other alternatives. My tips for treating your body well with food include using a small plate, reducing sugar and carbs, replace a meal with a protein shake or cleanse drink, eat less frequently, and always have at least equal portions meat, wheat, fruit, and veggies on your plate. My healthy habit that is the most work is definitely a well balanced diet.
For me, podcasts make it so I feel like I’m still working on my business while listening and completing other tasks. I learn so many business and mental strategies from podcasts, they are a really terrific tool. Podcasts are my healthy habit that motivates me. Podcasts can be great for your mental health because they offer a way to learn, relax, and connect with others. They can provide a source of inspiration, comfort, and entertainment. Listening to podcasts can also be a form of MINDFULNESS, allowing you to focus on the present moment and tune out distractions. Additionally, podcasts cover a variety of topics, so you can find one that suits your interests and needs. The great thing about your brain is that it can only think of one thing at a time, so if you’re feeling down an upbeat podcast can lift you up.

Reading books can help REDUCE STRESS, improve focus, increase empathy, and provide a source of entertainment and knowledge. It's a great way to take care of yourself and your mental health. I love books about business. Business books can be helpful for gaining knowledge and insights about various aspects of business such as management, marketing, finance, and entrepreneurship. They can provide practical advice, case studies, and real-world examples to help readers improve their skills and make better decisions in their professional lives. Additionally, reading business books can also help readers stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in their industry. Reading is a perfect relaxing example of my healthy habits.
The best part about reading is it gives you knowledge that nobody can take away!
I personally love the benefits of cleansing drinks. I like to use raw and organic ingredients like honey, cayenne pepper, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon and turmeric. Honey has antioxidants, reduces cough and throat irritation, promotes wound healing, and improves digestion. It also has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and may help lower the risk of heart disease and certain types of cancer. As well as, cayenne pepper is great at reducing inflammation, improving digestion, boosting metabolism and aiding in weight loss, reducing pain and headaches, and improving heart health. It is also rich in vitamins and minerals, including vitamin A, vitamin C, potassium, and iron. In addition, some potential benefits of consuming apple cider vinegar include improved digestion, weight management, reduced cholesterol levels, and lower blood sugar levels. Also, cinnamon has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, help lower blood sugar levels, improve heart health, and may even have anticancer effects. It may also have a positive effect on brain function and help fight bacterial and fungal infections. Finally, turmeric has several potential health benefits, including reducing inflammation, improving brain function, lowering the risk of heart disease, and potentially even preventing cancer. Its active ingredient, curcumin, has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that make it a popular natural remedy for various ailments. Reminder: It's important to consult a healthcare professional before starting any cleanse or detox program.
Making to-do lists can be beneficial because it helps to organize tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and keep track of progress. It can also reduce stress by providing a sense of control and accomplishment as tasks are completed. Additionally, to-do lists can serve as a reminder of important deadlines or appointments. To-do lists are helpful for businesses because they can increase productivity and organization. By creating a list of tasks that need to be completed, individuals can prioritize their work and ensure that nothing is forgotten. Additionally, to-do lists can help individuals stay on track and avoid procrastination. For me, to do lists help my mind stay focused and I feel accomplished when I can check something off. My healthy habits list wouldn’t be complete without my to-do lists.
I always need to schedule breaks in my day and week or I’d work forever. Scheduling breaks in your day is healthy because it allows you to RECHARGE and refocus. Taking short breaks can improve productivity, creativity, and overall well-being. It gives your mind and body a chance to rest and reset, so you can return to your tasks with renewed energy and concentration. Having a night off in a week can help improve mental and physical health by allowing time for relaxation and self-care. It can also increase productivity and reduce stress in the long run. My mind can sometimes be so focused I forget to even eat or drink. A little trick I use is to block out my day and set an alarm for break times.
My motto is to always have a vacation planned so you have something positive to be excited for. Whether it’s a mini weekend getaway nearby or a flight to a remote beach any time away to fully disconnect is much needed every once in awhile. Having a vacation planned can give you something to look forward to, reduce stress levels, and provide a break from the routine of daily life. It can also help you create memories and experiences that you will cherish for a lifetime. At the end of your life you will be able to look back and remember all the interesting food you tried, crazy activities you did, the history and stories you learned about, and beautiful places you got to see.
It is so important to take time for yourself and find clarity. The most important relationship is the one you have with yourself. - Diane Von Furstenberg
Sunlight is important for our bodies to produce vitamin D, which helps with bone health and immune function. It also helps regulate our circadian rhythm, which impacts our sleep patterns and overall health. Additionally, exposure to sunlight can boost our mood and energy levels. For me sunlight changes my whole mood, I feel so much happier when I was outside in the sun during the day. Exposure to sunlight can increase the production of serotonin in the brain, which is a chemical that helps to regulate mood, sleep, and appetite. This can lead to an improved mood and a decrease in symptoms of depression. However, it's important to protect your skin from the harmful effects of the sun while enjoying its benefits. Of course, always remember to wear sunscreen when directly exposed to sunlight. Sunlight is a must as one of my healthy habits. I’m definitely not a vampire!
I think that beauty services are a major part of self care. There are so many services to choose from such as waxing, spray tanning, nails, hair, eyelashes, eyebrows, makeup, facials, laser, semi-permanent makeup, teeth whitening, Botox, and filler. Getting your beauty services done can be considered a form of self-care because it allows you to take time for yourself and prioritize your personal grooming and appearance. Additionally, it can boost your confidence and make you feel good about yourself, which is an important aspect of self-care. I usually bring my AirPods to my appointment and relax during the service, it’s my me time. I love taking a moment to take care of me, it’s truly a special moment of my healthy habits. I love it!

Having enough water is one of my healthy habits because it helps to regulate body temperature, supports digestion, and aids in the transportation of nutrients throughout the body. It can also help to flush out toxins and waste products, maintain healthy skin, and prevent dehydration. I am constantly drinking water and I’m always looking for new flavours to add to make it more fun and tasty.
Here are some tips to help you make water a part of your daily routine:
- Always carry a reusable water bottle with you.
- Set reminders on your phone or computer to drink water throughout the day.
- Make drinking water a habit by having a glass of water when you wake up, before meals, and before bed.
- Flavor your water with fruits or herbs to make it more enjoyable.
- Incorporate water-rich foods such as fruits, vegetables, and soups into your diet.
Getting enough sleep is crucial for maintaining good health. During sleep, your body repairs and rejuvenates itself, and lack of sleep can lead to a variety of health problems such as increased stress, lowered immune function, and decreased cognitive performance. Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night to help support your overall health and well-being. Getting enough sleep is important because it helps your body and mind to rest and recover. It can improve your mood, memory and cognitive functions, and reduce your risk of developing health issues such as obesity, heart disease and diabetes. However, try not to oversleep because that can have negative effect as well.
Studies show the most successful people in the world wake up BEFORE everyone else.
Hygiene is one of my healthy habits because whenever I do my hygiene routine I feel so much better. I love the feeling of cleaning my teeth, taking a hot shower, washing my face, brushing my hair, putting on a new outfit, spraying perfume to smell good. Maintaining hygiene is important because it helps prevent the spread of harmful germs and bacteria that can cause illness and disease. It also promotes overall health and well-being by reducing the risk of infections and keeping our bodies clean and healthy. Personal hygiene is a crucial aspect of self care because it involves taking care of your body and physical health. Practicing good hygiene habits can help boost your self-esteem and CONFIDENCE, which can positively impact your mental health.
Being organized can reduce stress and anxiety, improve productivity, and help with time management. It also allows for better focus and clarity of thought, and can create a sense of control and accomplishment. Organizing your life and surroundings can contribute to overall well-being. Therefore, organizing can be considered a form of self-care. Additionally, organization in your business is important because it helps to increase efficiency, productivity, and profitability. It allows you to manage resources effectively, prioritize tasks, and stay focused on achieving your goals. By keeping things organized, you can also avoid errors, reduce stress, and improve communication within your team. Stay on top of your organization and it won’t get unmanageable.
I love learning new things, I think I may even be addicted to learning and improving myself. Once you start to see positive changes in your life it is difficult to not continue to constantly grow. Learning something new is healthy for several reasons. It can improve cognitive function, memory, and creativity. It can also boost self-esteem and confidence, as well as provide a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, learning new skills or knowledge can lead to new opportunities and personal growth. Learning can be a form of self care as it allows individuals to expand their knowledge and skills, which can lead to personal development and fulfillment. Learning something new has to be one of the all time most done of my healthy habits.
Everyone deserves compliments, everyone is good at something or has something beautiful about them.
Expressing gratitude has been shown to have numerous health benefits, including reducing stress, improving sleep, increasing resilience, fostering positive relationships, and boosting overall well-being. When we focus on the good in our lives and express APPRECIATION for it, we shift our mindset to one of positivity and abundance, which can have a profound impact on our physical and mental health. I start every day with a gratitude list while I get ready for my day, sometimes I’ll do it as I fall asleep as well. You can also do a guided version of gratitude as a type of meditation.
It is good for your soul to feel grateful for all that you have and all that you are.
